Caregivers of persons with dementia are invited to more presentations in October.

Recognizing pain and minimizing falls are among the session topics.

There will be sessions for families and caregivers to know some of the legal services the Guam Elder Justice Center can offer.

In addition, a presentation by Michael Bevacqua, Guam Museum curator and CHamoru scholar, will discuss reminiscing as a form of therapy. He will also discuss writing life stories.

These sessions are conducted by the Guam/Micronesia Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Pro-gram of the University of Guam School of Health, with a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The sessions are free of charge to partners, family members, and other caregivers of persons with dementia who have ties to Guam and the Micronesian region.
